  It was a small job, rendering up a fireplace to take a log burner. A bit more difficult than anticipated as the fireback was lumpy and lots of ingrained soot. First render did not take well, so Steve came back and sorted it. I am well pleased with the result.
  Whilst he was here waiting for the render to go off, he did a brilliant job sorting out a plasterboard wall that had been botched by a plasterer I had used a few years ago. He even left me a few of the fixings in case the wall needs more treatment in another place later.
